  6. The MacODBC SDK runs on Power Macintosh and 680x0 Macintosh versions, and is compatible with the 2.1 version for the ODBC Specification.  These ReadMe notes provide developer information.

  8. MacODBC was produced for Apple Computer, Inc. by Visigenic Software.

  10. CONTENTS OF THE TOOLS DISK

  13. The “ODBC Tools” disk has the ODBC programming interfaces and libraries, as well as MPW C source code for a sample ODBC Application, ODBC Driver library, ODBC Setup library and ODBC Translate library.  The make files will build both 680x0 Macintosh and Power Macintosh samples.

  18. Tools Development Environment

  21. The development environment is from the “Latest MPW” folder on E.T.O. 16: MPW 3.3.1, MPW C 3.3.3 and MPW PPCC 1.0.5.  You will need the Apple Shared Library Manager (ASLM) version 1.1.2 interfaces, libraries and tools.

  26. The release number has been changed from 2.0 to 2.1 to be consistent with the ODBC specification version that the ODBC for Macintosh SDK supports.

The contents of the “ODBC Tools” disk are licensed to you for modification and redistribution, in object code form, solely with your own programs.  The contents of the “ODBC Install” disk are licensed to you for distribution in their entirety solely with your own programs.  If you have downlaoded this software from an Apple FTP server, consult the licensing information on that server; if you received this disk as part of the Mac™ OS SDK, see the “Licensing Info” folder on that CD.
